When once again the Village has received input from villagers adamantly opposed to the greenhouse expanding of cannabis in Corrales.
Resident George Rhodes created a statement throughout Corraleños Forum at the Village Council meeting April 9 that reads in component, “We have not too long ago discovered that Spencer Komadina has acquired a license from the State of New Mexico to develop hemp on this identical A-1 zoned home, and that he intends to harvest that component of the hemp plant for extraction of chemical compounds employed in the production of CBD oil and possibly other by-solutions.
“We have been told that, even though Ordinance 18-002 explicitly applies to cannabis, and cannabis derived solutions, it seemed to exclude hemp (presumably for rope production), without the need of the understanding that greenhouse grown hemp is cannabis with a lesser quantity of THC.
