Alaska marijuana regulators float alterations to on-web page consumption, testing, tracking guidelines

The Alaska Marijuana Handle Board is looking for public comment by June 19 on proposed alterations to the state’s guidelines for on-web page cannabis consumption spaces and the testing and tracking of marijuana.

Amongst other alterations, regulators advocate:

  • Enabling retail shops not in freestanding buildings to have on-web page consumption of edibles only.
  • Rising the price of the license charge for marijuana testing facilities.
  • Requiring a testing laboratory to submit alterations to normal operating procedures to regulators for assessment and approval.
  • Altering specifications for marijuana that has failed testing as effectively as requirements for cultivation and preparation of marijuana samples for testing.
